Files, filtering and search

A festival channel fills up fast — stage plots, photos of a broken casing, fifty messages about lunch. Crewbox gives you three tools: share files properly, filter what's in front of you, and search everything ever said.

Sharing files and photos

Three ways in:

1. The paperclip in the composer — pick a file or take a photo.
2. Drag and drop anywhere onto the conversation — the overlay says "Drop to share". Dropping several uploads them all.
3. Paste — a screenshot on the clipboard pastes straight into the composer.

Images appear as previews in the conversation; other files as a card with name and size. Tap one for the detail view: open, download, copy a link, share it on (on phones), or delete it. You can always delete your own uploads; deleting anyone else's needs admin. Photos zoom with a pinch or a double-tap.

Files live on the box, not on anyone's phone — so an attachment posted at noon is still there for the night crew, whoever's phone took it.

The filter bar

The funnel button in the channel header narrows what's in front of you:

• Chips: All · Photos · Files · Links · Mentions — one tap to see just the photos in #stage.
• A person picker listing everyone who has actually spoken in this channel — combine with a chip: "photos from Dev".

The bar counts what it's looking through — "34 of 210 loaded" — because it only filters messages already loaded on this device. Tap Load older to widen it. An empty result means "nothing in what's loaded", not "nothing ever" — for the whole history, use search.

The filter clears itself when you switch channels or close the bar, so a forgotten filter can never make a channel look silently empty.

Search

The magnifier in the header — or ⌘K / Ctrl+K anywhere — opens search. It asks the box, not your device, so it covers the whole history of every channel you can see, whether or not it's loaded on your phone. Results show author, channel and date; tapping one jumps to that message in place, highlighted.
